| DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS FROM ROME TO LA POSTA VECCHIA |
BY MOTORWAY: from Rome city centre, follow the OVEST (west) signs for the ROMA-FIUMICINO motorway. At the A12 junction, take the CIVITAVECCHIA direction and continue up to the CERVETERI-LADISPOLI exit. Once off the motorway, head towards LADISPOLI. Merge onto the SS1 Aurelia trunk road towards ROME. At the first set of traffic lights continue straight on, always going towards ROME, and turn right after 4 kilometres into LADISPOLI SUD-CASTELLO DI PALO.
Continue along the road and follow the signs for LADISPOLI when you reach the roundabout. When you have reached the end of the railway overpass, under the LADISPOLI road sign, you will see a sign indicating left for La Posta Vecchia. Make a sharp turn left, almost a U-turn, into a tree-lined road (Via Corrado Melone) and continue following the La Posta Vecchia signs. Our hotel is at the end of this road.
From NAPLES: take the A1 motorway towards Rome up to the Roma Sud interchange. Continue along the Grande Raccordo Anulare (ring road) towards Ovest Roma Fiumicino. Keep travelling on the motorway in the Civitavecchia direction until you reach the A12 interchange and take the exit marked Cerveteri-Ladispoli.
From FLORENCE: take the A1 motorway towards Rome up to the Roma Nord Settebagni interchange. Continue travelling west along the Grande Raccordo Anulare (ring road), then join the Roma Fiumicino motorway and continue until you reach the A12 Civitavecchia interchange. Keep on the motorway and take the Cerveteri-Ladispoli exit.
VIA AURELIA: from Rome city centre, follow the OVEST (west) signs for the SS1 Aurelia Ladispoli trunk road. Travel along this road until you reach Torrimpietra, then continue straight on until you see the LADISPOLI SUD exit. Take this exit and continue along the railway overpass until you reach the roundabout. Take the LADISPOLI exit and at the end of the second railway overpass, under the LADISPOLI sign, you will see a sign indicating left for La Posta Vecchia.
Make a sharp turn left, almost a U-turn, onto a tree-lined road (Via Corrado Melone) and continue following the La Posta Vecchia signs. Our hotel is at the end of this road.

| DIRECTIONS FOR DRIVING FROM LA POSTA VECCHIA TO IL PELLICANO |
Go out of the main gate and turn left, driving straight to the end of the road.
At the end of the road, turn sharply to the right up the bridge (making a U turn).
Keep going until the roundabout, turn on the left and go over an overpass towards Civitavecchia.
You are on the SS1 Aurelia, follow directions for the motorway Civitavecchia-Roma A12,
and take the exit towards Civitavecchia.
You are now on the A12, keep going for about half an hour towards Civitavecchia.
Continue on the motorway and follow the signs for Grosseto (about one hour).
You will then find yourself on Aurelia SS1, again.
Keep driving towards Grosseto and then exit at Orbetello, turn on your left following the signs to Porto Ercole.
As you arrive in Porto Ercole, you will see signs which lead you through the town and up along the coast towards
Il Pellicano. Follow the hotel signs along this panoramic road (about 4km) to the hotel gate on your left. |
| DIRECTIONS FOR DRIVING FROM IL PELLICANO TO LA POSTA VECCHIA |
From Porto Ercole follow the signs to the SS1 AURELIA towards ROME-CIVITAVECCHIA.
Drive all the SS1 Aurelia (approx. 90 km) towards Civitavecchia.
Follow signs to the A12 Motorway towards ROME-CIVITAVECCHIA.
Exit at Cerveteri-Ladispoli (you will see the sign on the motorway), turn right to exit completely from the motorway.
Continue towards Ladispoli. At the first traffic light turn left always following signs for Ladispoli.
You are now on the SS1 Aurelia. Ignore the first entrance to Ladispoli on your right (km 39).
Keep going and then take the second exit, Palo Laziale, again on your right (km 37).
Continue on that road going over an overpass.
As you are coming down from the overpass, look for the La Posta Vecchia sign and make a sharp left which is almost a U-turn on Via Corrado Melone.
Take tree-lined road all the way to the end where you will see a wooden gate on your right.
