Our Chef

Michele Gioia was born close to Benevento, Italy, on September 28, 1974. He started his career in 2001 at the Four Season Hotel in Milan, since then he worked for many Michelin starred Restaurants such as Restaurant Arnolfo in Colle Val d’Elsa, Siena (2 Michelin) and La Terrazza in Rome (1 Michelin).
From 2003 he became the Chef de Cuisine at The Cesar Restaurant of La Posta Vecchia Relais & Chateaux in Ladispoli, Rome, where he earned a star Michelin in 2007.
Michele, who is responsible for an equipe of eleven people, renews his menus periodically to suit his international and demanding clientele. Most of the ingredients used in his recipes come from the organic vegetable garden of La Posta Vecchia’s, along with exquisite home made jams and marmalades.
